About Sarah
Hi, my name is Sarah. I've lived in the California Bay Area my whole life. I have a sweet kiddo named Ruby, a wonderfully supportive and loving husband, and I’m completely obsessed with my dog. (@josiethe1nderdog holla!) I sing in a band, I hate spiders, and I can demolish like 4 whole crabs in one sitting. But that’s not why you came here. ;)
My first "job" was at a local bead shop as a young teenager...so young they could only pay me in store credit. I’ve continued to make jewelry in one capacity or another for all of my life. Between teaching kids to make friendship bracelets as a program aide at Girl Scout camp, to making stage accessories when I ran a burlesque troupe, to making pearl rosaries for my mother in law, I’ve tried to keep my hands busy. Devil’s workshop, as they say.
Since that first job in a bead shop, twenty some-odd years and several career paths down the road, and the Stars have finally aligned. I’ve worked retail, hospitality, administration, sales, gaming, entertainment...and I’m finally back to jewelry. Ahhhhh.
After we bought a house and went to the trouble of building a whole studio, I realized I needed to up my game, so I took a few classes at the amazing Silvera Jewelry School to learn metalsmithing. After that, it’s pretty much all been trial and error....but it has become SUCH a passion. I especially love making Big Ass Rings. (#hashtag!) there’s something so awesomely powerful about them, and I love it when they find their perfect home. Sitting here in my workshop, I know I’ve found mine.
